What is STPA?
  • STPA (System-Theoretic Process Analysis) is a methodology developed by Professor Nancy Leveson of MIT based on system theory, performing hazard identification and safety analysis from an inter-system control perspective. 
  • STPA supports the identification of hazards and risks in complex software, human factors, and interfaces—areas often overlooked by conventional methods such as FMEA and FTA—helping organizations build and operate safer systems.
